LEGO is a line of building toys manufactured by the LEGO Group, a privately held company based in Denmark.

The company’s flagship product, commonly referred to as Lego bricks, consists of colorful interlocking plastic bricks and an accompanying array of gears, minifigures and various other parts. There are other Lego pieces which can be assembled and connected in many ways, such as vehicles, buildings and even working robots.

Since it began producing plastic bricks, the Lego Group has released thousands of play sets themed around a variety of topics, for example space, robots, pirates, vikings, ninjas, medieval castles, dinosaurs, holiday locations, the wild west, the Arctic, airports, miners, Star Wars, SpongeBob SquarePants and Exo-Force, to name just a few. New elements are often released along with new sets. There are also Lego sets designed to appeal to young girls such as the Clikits line which consists of small interlocking parts that are meant to encourage creativity and arts and crafts, much like regular Lego bricks. Clikit pieces can interlock with regular Lego bricks as decorative elements.

On Monday, January 28, 2008, Lego celebrated the 50th anniversary of the patent on its interlocking blocks with a worldwide building contest. Google paid tribute to the anniversary by writing its name on the Google homepage in Lego bricks.

This day, even Google changed their logo, to a Lego based.

Qtrax is NOT just another P2P network, it provides a complete system for finding and downloading music. The player provides access a web site filled with artist content, including Videos, Ringtones, Lyrics, Album Art, up to the minute artist news! Try finding THAT on any other P2P network. The service works by centralizing music from P2P sites and then reoffering the songs with some extra DRM attached. Songs are downloaded to the listener’s computer, but they can only be played back inside of the Qtrax ad-supported player. The player expands to fill the user’s screen, but don’t fret because you can still surf the web with a Mozilla-based browser inside of the player.

For those of you old enough to remember the dot-bomb days, think of the Qtrax player as a music version of the much loathed NetZero web browser. While a full-screen player plastered with ads will probably turn off many people, we believe this could bring new life to your unwanted laptops and desktops. Just download and play the songs on the spare computer while you continue working on your primary machine.

The company promises to share ad revenue with the song owners and claims that deals have been made with the four major record labels: Universal Music, Sony-BMG, Warner Music Group and EMI. Interestingly enough, those labels haven’t yet confirmed any plans.

According to the Qtrax website, a PC beta program will be available at midnight Eastern Standard Time.

RoBlogfest a fost primul eveniment creat pentru comunitatea bloggerilor din Romania. A avut prima editie in 2006, si in acesti 2 ani si-a facut deja un nume. Roblogfest a fost o initiativa a lui Dragos Novac, si editia din 2008 are 3 parti distincte: o perioada de nominalizari si 2 perioade de votare. Cine iese pe primele locuri dupa votare va fi premiat in cadrul unei ceremonii festive.

Ideea e ca de pe 1 februarie incepe concursul, iar prin martie se anunta castigatorii. Ma bate gandul sa ma bag si eu, dar nu stiu daca voi fi acceptat din moment ce am posturi si in engleza. O sa trimit o intrebare, sa vad cum sta treaba. Oricum imi place initiativa, si le doresc baietilor mult succes.

De cand iau eu bani de la Google Adsense am trecut mai pe la toate bancile. Imi amintesc ca prima plata am fost sa o incasez de la Posta. M-am gandit si eu ca Posta e cea mai vizitata, si cucoanele de acolo stiu despre ce e vorba. N-ai sa vezi. Au zis ca nu au mai platit pe nimeni cu bani veniti de la Google. Platile urmatoare le-am luat de la diverse banci, mai mult sau mai putin usor.

De 3 luni i-au banii de la Raiffeisen. Rapid, fara batai de cap, fara intrebari idioate. Iei banii in ce moneda vrei, si pleci acasa multumit. Nu stiu la altii cum e, dar la mine in oras Raiffeisen e cel mai bun.

PS: Azi am prins cel mai ridicat curs dolar-leu, asa ca am luat bani frumosi.

Gordon Bitner Hinckley (June 23, 1910 – January 27, 2008) was the fifteenth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from March 12, 1995 until his death. He was the oldest person to preside over the LDS Church in its history. As president of the LDS Church, he was considered by its members to be a prophet, seer, and revelator. His presidency was noted for the building of new temples and the creation of the Perpetual Education Fund. Hinckley holds the record for dedicating the most LDS Church temples and dedicated more than half of the current church temples.

As president of the church, Hinckley was also chairman of the Church Board of Education and Board of Trustees that governs the Church Educational System.
On July 23, 1981, Hinckley became a counselor in the First Presidency. As the 1980s progressed, the health of both President Spencer W. Kimball and his aging counselors N. Eldon Tanner and Marion G. Romney led to Hinckley’s being the only healthy member of the First Presidency. When Tanner died in 1982, Romney succeeded him as first counselor and Hinckley succeeded Romney as second counselor in the First Presidency.
