I think it is some kind of virus. Even if it is not a virus it is a very searched term on Google. I tried to find infos about win32/kariada.a and I didn’t find nothing eloquent. Some says that it’s a very new virus and actual antivirus systems cannot fight with it. win32/kariada.a will change your .doc files to .scr(screensaver files). I will update this page as soon as I will find more about it.

I had the same problem. I went and zipped the files the virus was located in, I then removed them manually. My AV program would not touch it. Trend would not touch it. I had to get ESET smart security. I have had no more problems, and my computer is back running full speed!
